the men who stare at goats

a lazy sunday with a great documentary, thanks to google video:

from boingboing:

The Men Who Stare At Goats is a must-read 2005 book by UK journalist Jon Ronson about the US government's interest in very strange stuff, like Jedi powers, psychic spying, subliminal sound weapons, and the potential to kill something (like a goat, or an enemy soldier) just by looking at it. Fact or fiction, or most likely some of both, it's an absolute blast to read. (And Ronson's BBC Channel 4 documentary based on the book, Crazy Rulers of the World, is a lot of fun too! You can find it here on Google Video.)

i also read:
and have a hard time finishing:

park life

spend some hours in a friendly park.
tried drawing but fell asleep.

after noticing that my skin got on the red side of life, i went home and started a study of a sargent painting.
and again, the sleepiness took the best of me.
i skiped it.

thor, metal gear, russian circles

i finally have a story for a comic and ideas how to tell it.
its going to be rough around ten pages and it will contain fight scenes, pictures of alcohol and evil forest spirits.

the main guy is a nice brute that likes to smash his hammer into things:

and a here is nearly-done-panel with him climbing a mountain in japan

on another note:
- finished GENJI (good fighting control, bad boss design)
- finished MGS2 (not as great as part 3, but the codec communication in the last hours was worth the hassle in the water-level)
- stopped reading "The Time of Our Singing" due too not getting the tone and style of the author

- the new RUSSIAN CIRCLES album is out today and it is awesome!!!
